Doggie Silhouette: Jack Russell

KOD is now featuring the Jack Russell Terrier in the Doggie Silhouettes line. JRT's are special to me, so there was no doubt they are next! They are definitely small dogs with big dog attitudes. I hope you enjoy these little cards full of lots character, just as the breed

Doggie Silhouette: Chihuahua

The Chihuahua is the second breed for my doggie silhouette cards! My sister has one named Max, and I always get a kick out of his ears. I knew the ears would amuse me, so I used a picture of him as my chihuahua model!

Doggie silhouettes are here!

I have had visions of creating a line of cards using doggie silhouettes. I began with a super biased choice... the min pin! My Luna inspired me. Though, she does not have cropped ears. I thought using cropped ears would make the breed more recognizable. I cannot wait to make more of these with other breeds. If you want a certain breed, or better yet, a silhouette of your very own pooch, let me know! Expect to see more of these.

Spooky Invites!

Front

Inside (without the address/contact info of course)

My sister came to me with a mixing bowl of ideas for one party. She and her husband recently bought a new house, he is turning 30, and it's Halloween season. Therefore, they are throwing a house warming, birthday bash that is Halloween themed. Rolling everything into one, I created an invitation for them to send out. This is what I came up with! I can't wait; it's going to be a good time fore sure.

Black Cat Note Cards

Front

Inside

These black cat note cards were created as a gift for a friend of my grandmother. She is one of the sweetest ladies I know, so I wanted to make sure the cards were just the same! I really enjoyed this project because black cats are one of my favorite animals, and I have a little collection of them at home. They bring good luck, not bad luck!

Ravens Roost 115 Logo

My friend Desiree hooked me up with a friend of hers needing a logo for his organization. They are Baltimore Ravens fans that get together and do charity work in Carroll County. I loved the concept and created a logo with a raven in a rustic setting to represent the county.

Stay tuned for some more note cards and invitations!

Desiree Stover Photography Portrait Sessions

It's been a little while since my last post. For the past month or so, I have been busy visiting venues and booking a place for my wedding. I knew I would be stressed until I had a venue booked and an official date. My fiance and I found the perfect place, and I am so happy. So now that I can relax, I have some new work to post!

My good friend (and bridesmaid!) is a talented wedding and portrait photographer. She asked me to design a flyer for a photo session she holding on September 25th. I tried to capture her style in the flyer, and we hope to use this look for more of her marketing pieces.

Check out the flyer, and if you are interested in a portrait session, contact her as soon as possible. If you can't make this session, she is planning on doing more in the future.

Visit her Web site and blog today!

Bly Wedding Thank You Cards

Photos of the cards (outsides and insides), the design files as a jpg, and the two vector graphics I illustrated.

My friend Stephanie saw an example of my work and asked me to create thank you cards for her wedding that correspond with her theme. I was really excited to work on a project for a friend who took the time to look at my designs and decided to "hire" m. Plus, she has really great taste, so I knew her vision would be really inspiring.

I created starfish and shell designs. She liked both, so we made two separate cards. I really wanted to capture her simple, modern style.

Stephanie's wedding is this October at Herrington on the Bay (which is actually where I am looking for my wedding). I know it's going to be such a beautiful wedding, and she is going to be gorgeous! Good luck, Stephanie. I hope your big day is all you ever dreamed of!

Whiting/Gilmer Wedding

My co-worker is a powerful woman and did a great job planning her wedding. About a week or so before her big day, she asked for a wedding program, acknowledgement card for the tables, and thank you card. This request was flattering to me, and I was thrilled to work on her projects, especially since it spiced up my work load.

I consider Raquel's wedding to be my good luck charm because I got engaged the weekend I completed her projects! I was unable to attend her wedding, but I heard how beautiful it was and how well all the visual pieces were received.

Congratulations Raquel and Michael!

Big Debut: Henningsen/Davidson Wedding

This is the moment I have been waiting for: the debut of my first official wedding invitation job. My good friends, Jean and Mike, are getting married this October, and they asked me to do their invitations. I was honored with the opportunity, and I had a blast doing it for them. It is really because of them that things are getting started for me, and I thank them with the bottom of my heart.

These invitations will always be special to me as they are my big debut item, and they are for people I deeply care about. Even my fiance is the Best Man!

Your wedding is quickly approaching, Mike and Jean. I cannot wait for your big day. It's going to be amazingly beautiful.

The pictures up top include the actual invitation, and the two design files are on the bottom. These invitations, along with everything else I will do (unless specified otherwise) are illustrated and assembled by me.

Please contact me to receive pdf versions of files to see the full size and quality of the designs.

Prisel/Young Wedding

Save the Date, invitation belly band (note: I did not make the actual invitation), rehearsal dinner menu, table name card, and favor label

It is very exciting to blog my first designs for my first wedding project. It was not only special because I found how much I love to design for weddings; it was also my sister's wedding. Aside from planning the bridal showers, enjoying a Bachelorette party, helping with decisions, and standing by her on her big day, I created memorable pieces for her wedding.

Welcome to Kerry Out Designs

I'm finally starting my own design business, and I am so excited because I've wanted to do this for a long time. Kerry Out Designs will specialize in wedding invitations as well as all visual pieces a bride may want or need! But I'm not going to limit myself to weddings. All you have to do is have a vision, and I as a graphic designer will come up with a design or print and produce the end product. Whether you need invitations, thank you cards, logos, or a design file (to name a few), I'll take care of it. I encourage special request projects!

My Etsy shop is already up and running: http://www.kerryoutdesigns.etsy.com. On Etsy, you will find my completed work that I can easily customize or make changes to. You may also want to snag some original stuff I did not complete for anyone specific. Again, I love special requests, so place your "order" and just "Kerry" it out!
