My Wedding: Save The Date

Things are really exciting for me right now as I am planning for my own wedding. We have about 6.5 months to go, and all our visual pieces will start being produced! Chris and I recently mailed out our Save the Date magnets. I've been waiting to finally post it on here! Our Save the Date magnet is one of my projects I am most proud of.

This is just the beginning of my "My Wedding" blog section. Tune in for more! With 6 months to go, I'm sure things will be coming out quickly. At least that's the hope!

Notecards as Bridesmaid Gifts

I'm starting to see the perks for designing stuff for people I know; it leads to other people seeing my work! I was pleased to hear from a bride-to-be who saw some notecards I made. She had a cute idea to give custom notecards to her bridesmaids for their gifts. After receiving some details about each girl, I dove in and came up with 6 original designs for each of them. Each set of cards came with color coordinating envelopes.

Silhouette Note Card Gifts Revealed

I designed four note cards as Christmas gifts and wanted to post them right away, but of course, I had to wait to give them! This year I made silhouette note cards for my family. The dogs and cat are their/our actual pets, and the moose is just a non-specific character (my anut and uncle are part of a moose lodge). Each set of cards came with color coordinating envelopes. Obviously I really enjoyed making these, and it saved a lot of money too!

Doggie Silhouette: Jack Russell

KOD is now featuring the Jack Russell Terrier in the Doggie Silhouettes line. JRT's are special to me, so there was no doubt they are next! They are definitely small dogs with big dog attitudes. I hope you enjoy these little cards full of lots character, just as the breed

Doggie Silhouette: Chihuahua

The Chihuahua is the second breed for my doggie silhouette cards! My sister has one named Max, and I always get a kick out of his ears. I knew the ears would amuse me, so I used a picture of him as my chihuahua model!

I have had visions of creating a line of cards using doggie silhouettes. I began with a super biased choice... the min pin! My Luna inspired me. Though, she does not have cropped ears. I thought using cropped ears would make the breed more recognizable. I cannot wait to make more of these with other breeds. My sister came to me with a mixing bowl of ideas for one party. She and her husband recently bought a new house, he is turning 30, and it's Halloween season. Therefore, they are throwing a house warming, birthday bash that is Halloween themed. Rolling everything into one, I created an invitation for them to send out. This is what I came up with!
