Tappin' Out a Note!

I have been looking forward to this reveal for quite a while now. My grandmother asked me to make her note cards as recital gifts for all the ladies in her dance class. My mom is one of those special ladies, so I had to keep my mouth shut! Being a tap dancer myself, I was very excited to work on this project. It's one of my favorites so far... obviously biased!

The dance recital was this past weekend at the Landmark in Richmond, VA. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend and cheer on my mother and grandmother, but I heard it was a fabulous show! The ladies did a great job and had a lot of fun! My grandmother told me everyone adored the note cards!

I also posted a picture of my mom and grandmother in their costume backstage. I can't wait to see the video, and I am so sorry I missed it!

Bottoms Up!

My mom's friend ,Dee, came to me for invitations for her daughter's graduation party. I immediately loved her custom order because she wanted to combine a margarita glass with a pink stethoscope wrapped around it. It was a blast to design, and it is so unique to Emily. It also gave me the opportunity to create a nice, margarita glass and lime to keep in my design files to use on tropical projects.

The invites look great paired with their bright pink envelopes. I can't wait for her to get them!

I posted the actual invitation (minus personal information) as well as a generic version with no wording. It would make a great notecard/note pad, and it is most certainly customizable for YOUR taste!

Moving Postcards

Remember that lovely red and orange Fall wedding invitation that I posted this October? Well, my dear friends Mike and Jean have been enjoying married life and just bought a new house! I designed moving postcards for them. I found a Mii cartoon character that resembled Mike, so I had to follow through with the idea of creating look alike cartoon faces for them! This example lists their city and state only to protect their privacy of course; the real version lists their new address.

Last Friday I got to see their house, and it's coming along nicely. I can't wait for them to get settled in. 'm sure they will make use of their deck this spring and summer too! Congratulations you two! Xoxo!

My Wedding: Save The Date

Things are really exciting for me right now as I am planning for my own wedding. We have about 6.5 months to go, and all our visual pieces will start being produced! Chris and I recently mailed out our Save the Date magnets. I've been waiting to finally post it on here! Our Save the Date magnet is one of my projects I am most proud of.

This is just the beginning of my "My Wedding" blog section. Tune in for more! With 6 months to go, I'm sure things will be coming out quickly. At least that's the hope!

Notecards as Bridesmaid Gifts

I'm starting to see the perks for designing stuff for people I know; it leads to other people seeing my work! I was pleased to hear from a bride-to-be who saw some notecards I made. She had a cute idea to give custom notecards to her bridesmaids for their gifts. After receiving some details about each girl, I dove in and came up with 6 original designs for each of them. Each set of cards came with color coordinating envelopes.

Thanks for working with me, Kelly! I had a lot of fun with these different personalities. I hope you have the wedding of your dreams in March!

Personalized notecards really do make great gifts. Contact me, and I can design a notecard for someone that no one else will ever have!

Silhouette Note Card Gifts Revealed

I designed four note cards as Christmas gifts and wanted to post them right away, but of course, I had to wait to give them! This year I made silhouette note cards for my family. The dogs and cat are their/our actual pets, and the moose is just a non-specific character (my anut and uncle are part of a moose lodge). Each set of cards came with color coordinating envelopes. Obviously I really enjoyed making these, and it saved a lot of money too!
